Tip #1

Most of us would like to hit the ball harder and we tend to try for more power by just swinging the racquet harder. The result can be a loss of accuracy and maybe unwanted extra stress on the elbow and shoulder. We may forget that we can gain power by using our leg muscles more and that doesn't detract from our accuracy. To load up on leg muscle, merely get into more of a sitting stance as part of the stroke. Remember the phrase, "Sit when you Hit".

If you want to hit the ball deeper, you can hit it harder but that could result in less accuracy and maybe an error. The easiest and most reliable stroke comes by merely aiming higher over the net.
